Dstny Certified as Teams Operator Connect Service

Dstny has received its Operator Connect certification for Microsoft Teams.

Dstny is now available on the Teams Admin Centre and intends to deliver its seamless and quality-assured enterprise solution via Microsoft Teams Voice. Dstny with Operator Connect allows businesses to unify their meetings, collaborations and calls in one interface to simplify workflows and improve productivity.

Samuel De Wever, Group CTO at Dstny, commented:

Our ambition at Dstny is to play well with others and simplify access to valuable innovations for our customers. We are excited to launch our Microsoft Operator Connect offer and proud to enhance the Microsoft Teams user calling experience for existing and new customers. This partnership aligns with our strategic vision for growth and expansion.”

With Dstny now available in the Microsoft Teams Admin Centre, IT admins can straightforwardly choose lines and minutes, handle numbers and assign users directly in the Teams portal.

With Dstny now among the operators in Microsoft’s Operator Connect Program, Dstny service providers and business users have greater utility in their communications and collaboration choices.

“Microsoft Teams is becoming the preferred choice for companies seeking an integrated collaboration platform, and having partners like Dstny on board is key to our success,” added Taimoor Husain, Global Telco Strategy Lead at Microsoft. “Dstny not only extends Teams’ functionality but also has the expertise to onboard new customers and provide local support, making the adoption of Teams even more seamless and efficient.”

In partnership with Dstny, Microsoft Operator Connect is available from Dstny Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Denmark and France.

Dstny Making Waves

Dstny has had a busy 18 months, including its ambition to develop its Teams-related offerings — aspirations which this Operator Connect certification maintains.

Last year, Dstny acquired Qunifi, the holding company for Call2Teams and Carrier Automate. Qunifi was a Microsoft Teams specialist, with Call2Teams specialising in adding voice to the collaboration platform, while Carrier Automate aided carriers on their journey to Microsoft’s Operator Connect. Qunifi became part of the Dstny for Service Provider service.

Among Dstny’s non-Teams related recent launches, Dstny revealed Dstny Automate could enable Webex Calling as part of the company’s global BYOC (Bring Your Own Carrier) aggregation platform, Carrier Automate.

The Carrier Automate platform, delivered by Dstny Automate and produced in partnership with Ribbon, enabled operators worldwide to provide PSTN services to Webex Calling quickly. The offering is intended to allow operators to accelerate their go-to-market and service the increase in demand for BYOC.

At this year’s Enterprise Connect, Dstny launched a fixed mobile convergence (FMC) solution to bridge the gap between UC platforms and mobile devices. Dstny Converge offers service providers the capability to integrate voice services with a device’s native dialler so users don’t have to app-switch.

Dstny stated that leveraging FMC will improve reliability for users while using less battery than a mobile data-powered call through a collaboration app.

Growth of Operator Connect

Since the PTSN connectivity solution Operator Connect launched two years ago, it has become a popular offering for calls in Teams. As well as Microsoft Teams’ raft of solutions for enabling external calling, Operator Connect is a third option combining the best Calling Plans with Direct Routing.

Earlier this year, Gamma launched Operator Connect for Teams for channel partners in the UK, boosting Gamma’s ambition of growing into a leading provider of Teams Phone. Introducing Operator Connect was another “key component” in Gamma’s continued channel development strategy, aiming to deliver significant value to channel partners and SMB customers through professional services.

Pure IP also recently launched its eVoc2 partner program to allow managed service providers (MSPs) and Telcos based in the USA to empower their customers with Teams calling capabilities through Operator Connect. The solution leverages Pure IP’s online automated tooling to perform the most difficult tasks for MSPs and telcos when offering Teams Calling to their customers, such as self-service provisioning and online management.
